Malta is the largest of the islands, and draws the most visitors, its capital is Valletta and the largest town is Birkirkara. Malta offers several recreational options, some wonderful history and architecture, and nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Megalithic Temples - some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world.
