Winnipeg is a city, located in the province of Manitoba, Canada. It is situated at the geographical centre of North America, where the Red and Assiniboine Rivers meet. The city is the largest in the province and is also its capital. Winnipeg lies on the eastern edge of the Canadian Prairies and has a flat terrain.

Wasabi – one of the best sushi places in the city, and Whisky Dix – a club with live bands that feature Top 40, retro, and country music.

Transport Information

Winnipeg has its own airport, the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport, situated 7 km (4 miles) from the city centre. The major airlines serving this airport include Air Canada, WestJet, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines. Travel between the city and the airport is possible through several options, such as Winnipeg Shuttle door-to-door service, Winnipeg Transit buses, taxi, car rental, Greyhound, as well as Via Rail and Union Station trains. The city can be reached by car through several Highways and Interstates. The public transit service is good in downtown Winnipeg and becomes sporadic towards suburban areas.
