Guatemala is a country located in Central America. The country is bordered by Mexico to the north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, Belize to the northeast, the Caribbean to the east, and Honduras and El Salvador to the southeast. The capital is Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción, also known as Guatemala City.

Guatemala is also known for its volcanoes. You can climb the volcanoes and tour them with a group. Transport Information

La Aurora International Airport is near Guatemala City. This is Guatemala’s main airport, offering international flights to and from other Central American countries and North America. The city has a second airport in Flores, Petén. This small airport receives a few flights from close neighbors including Belize, Mexico City, and Guatemala City. From Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador you can get to Guatemala from the Pan-American Highway. You can drive, or take a bus. There are also several ferries to and from Puerto Barrios and Livingston, and Punta Gorda, Belize. Once in Guatemala public transportation includes vibrantly decorated buses, a trolley service in Guatemala City that is targeted towards tourists, and some train service that is aimed at tour groups.
