Macau is a Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. This S.A.R. is located at the mouth of the Pearl River, just downstream from Guangzhou. The region has a wide variety of restaurants, casinos, and resort hotels making it a world class tourist destination. Historically this port city was part of the Silk Road. Entertainment And Dining Out

There are many things to do in Macau, besides gambling. There are many historical and cultural landmarks, including churches, fortresses, temples, and many decades of Portuguese and Chinese architecture. Situated near the sea and close to the MGM Grand Casino is a statue of the Bodhisatta Avalokitesvara. This is a Chinese deity, yet the statue is clearly European in design, and looks much like European statues of the Virgin Mary. Fisherman’s Wharf in Macau offers incredible shopping and theme-park attractions. The Tasting Room is a French fine dining restaurant where reservations are suggested and worthwhile. Seasonal ingredients from around the world are used to create European cuisine with a contemporary flare. The dining room offers fantastic views of the village of Cotai.
