Naples is Italy’s third largest city and is also the capital of the region of Campania. Home of SSC Napoli, one of the top football teams in the country, Naples is also one of the oldest cities in the world. There are many famous historical and modern landmarks in the city including the Piazza del Plebiscito and the Royal Palace of Naples. Local fare can be relished at Caffe dell’Amore while Inca’s Kitchen is the place to sample some Peruvian cooking.

Transport Information

Naples has a strong network of roads and reliable buses and taxis that serve local commuters. Additionally, Italy’s longest road, the Autostrada A1, runs from Naples to Milan. Internally, Naples has trolley-buses and tram services to support road transport while funiculars or cable rail-cars also run through the city. Naples Metro is an extensive rail-network running under the city while Napoli Centrale, Napoli Campi Flegrei and Napoli Mergellina are the city’s main railway stations, which link it to the rest of the country.
