The town of Livingstone is situated in West Lothian in Scotland. It was designated in the early 1960s, having become the fourth new town to be built in the area after World War II. Just 15 or so miles from Edinburgh and about 30 miles from Glasgow, Livingston was built around a range of villages and has gone on to become the biggest town in West Lothian. The town is made up of a number of smaller areas, such as Howden, Ladywell, and Deans amongst others.

Transport Information

You will find good transport links in Livingston, which is served by road, public transport, and rail as well as being close to major air travel hubs. Easy access to the M8, A899, the A71 and the A89 help to ensure drivers and those using other forms of transport can get around with ease. The town is well-served by buses and taxi services for those who do not plan to drive. There are two railway stations serving the area, including Livingston North and Livingston South. The first is on the North Clyde Line offering access to Glasgow and Airdrie while the second is on the Shotts Line. With ease access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, air travel links are also within easy reach.
