Atlanta is the capital of Georgia and is the most highly populated city within the state. It is the cultural and economic center of the Atlanta metropolitan area and the ninth largest metropolitan area in the whole of the USA. In August 2013, Atlanta appeared on Forbes magazine s list of the ‘Best Places for Business and Careers’. Atlanta was selected as the host city for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. The Carter Center and Presidential Library is well visited and offers an insight into the Carter administration and his family life. There are countless clubs, jazz bars, trendy eateries and live music venues, as well as theaters and fast-food outlets adorning the city. Big Kahuna can be found on Peachtree Center Avenue and is a favorite with locals and professionals alike, offering great food and a fully-stocked bar alongside flat-screen TVs, making this an ideal location to meet friends after work. The Sun Dial Restaurant, on Westin Peachtree Plaza, is also a popular choice, being Atlanta s only tri-level dining complex. It features a revolving upscale restaurant, a rotating cocktail lounge and an observatory level which offers a breath-taking, 360-degree panorama of the Atlanta skyline.
